Biography

Joined TU Delft in 2021 as an Assistant Professor and was granted a permanent position in 2023. Xucong completed a postdoc at ETH Zurich from 2018 to 2021 under the supervision of Professor Otmar Hilliges. He earned his PhD with summa cum laude at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, mentored by Professor Andreas Bulling. Xucong is recognized as a Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute Intelligent Systems, an ELLIS Scholar, and a Senior Member of IEEE. His research focuses on human-AI interaction, gaze estimation, holistic human motion modeling, and applications in healthcare to develop tools that benefit clinical practice.
