Distinguished Professor Bai joined Australian National University in 2011 as a professor of Urban Environment Human Ecology in the Fenner School of Environment and Society. Professor Bai's accolades include being named one of the World's 100 Influential People in Climate Change Policy and receiving the Volvo Environment Prize in 2018. She is also an ARC Laureate Fellow (2023).
