Dr. Xuping Zhang

Biography

Xuping Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Aarhus University, specializing in Mechatronics Dynamics. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where his research focused on Dynamic Modeling and Active Vibration Control of parallel manipulators. Zhang has made significant contributions through numerous research outputs, including topics on Mechatronics design, modeling, controlling, and manufacturing, particularly in contexts involving collaborative robots (cobots) and robotic rehabilitation. Over the years, he has been involved in various projects, including robotic inspection of offshore oil wells and integrating human-robot collaboration in manufacturing. His active participation in conferences and workshops reflects his commitment to advancing knowledge in the field. He has also received various accolades for his work, such as being a finalist for multiple IEEE conferences.
