Biography

Ya-Ching Amanda Huang is an Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M College of Nursing, specializing in nursing research and health disparities. She earned her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Her research interests focus on health disparities, Type 2 Diabetes self-management, minority health, illness perception, and health behaviors. Huang is also interested in game simulation for diabetes care, which innovative educational strategies for patient management. Huang is a Registered Professional Nurse in both Taiwan and Texas and holds professional certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Nurses Association, American Diabetes Association, American Public Health Association, Southern Nursing Research Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
