Biography

Yafeng Yin is a Donald Cleveland Collegiate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His research aims to analyze and enhance the efficiency and resilience of multimodal transportation systems while promoting environmental sustainability. Currently, he focuses on developing innovative mobility solutions and services that leverage vehicle connectivity and automation. Yin has published nearly 150 refereed papers in leading academic journals and possesses extensive experience in journal editing. He served as Editor-in-Chief for Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies from 2014 to 2020 and is currently an Area Editor for Transportation Science and an Associate Editor for Transportation Research Part B: Methodological. Yin is actively involved in the academic community, serving on the International Advisory Committee for the International Symposium on Traffic Transportation Theory (ISTTT) and on the Steering Committee for the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS).
