Dr. Yally Avrahampour

Biography

Yally Avrahampour is an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics (LSE) specializing in Education Management. She serves as the Executive Director at the Forum for European Philosophy within the European Institute. Her doctoral research focused on setting investment policy for defined benefit pension funds in the UK over the past sixty years, undertaken at the University of Essex. Additionally, she holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a BA from the University of Leeds. With substantial professional experience, she previously worked as a Vice President at Merrill Lynch for thirteen years, where she also served as a trustee for the company's UK pension funds. Avrahampour has been actively involved as a member of various boards and councils, including the Pensions Technical Actuarial Standard working party and the Advisory Council of the Occupational Pensions Defense Union (OPDU). Her areas of expertise encompass accounting standards, the theory of fair value, information economics, management accounting in new manufacturing environments, and strategic management accounting within utility sectors.
