Biography

Yan Cheng is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in environmental science and computer science at the University of Copenhagen. He has a strong focus on applying deep learning techniques to decode Earth observations, such as satellite images, to better understand terrestrial ecosystems under the influence of changing climates. Yan's research interests particularly encompass physical climate risk assessment and nature-based solutions to combat climate change.
