Dr. Yan Wang

Biography

Yan Wang is currently a Full Professor at the School of Computing, Macquarie University, Australia. He received his PhD from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China. Before joining Macquarie University in 2003, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Professor Wang has published numerous research papers at international conferences including AAAI, AAMAS, ICDE, IJCAI, KDD, NeurIPS, WWW, and in journals such as CSUR, TIST, TKDE, TOIS, TSC, and TWEB. His research interests include recommender systems, fake news detection mitigation, data analytics prediction, social networks, and trust management. Wang has served on the editorial boards of various journals, including IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, and has held prominent roles in conference organizing committees. His work emphasizes the development of trustworthy computing and innovative content recommendation methods, showcasing a commitment to advancing research in his field.
