Biography

Yanhua Zheng is a lecturer at the Stanford Language Center with over ten years of experience in education. A native Cantonese speaker, Yanhua immigrated to the United States in 2014 and holds a combined Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in Chinese from San Francisco State University, which is recognized as one of the nation's top-ranked Chinese language programs. Yanhua currently resides in Palo Alto with their son and husband. Outside of academia, Yanhua is an avid reader, writer, and artist. Yanhua's teaching responsibilities include a variety of Chinese language courses at Stanford, highlighting an extensive engagement with the academic community and commitment to language education.
