Biography

Yanjun Li is the Lewis B. Cullman Professor and Director of Management Doctoral Programs at Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. His teaching interests span management science, operations research, statistics, and optimization models algorithms, as well as spreadsheet modeling simulation. Dr. Li's research focuses specifically on combinatorial optimization, integer programming, polyhedral theory, and polynomial-time algorithms. His current research centers on Chvatal inequalities, Chvatal rank, and the polynomial solvability of integer programming problems. He has received several accolades, including the Jay N. Ross Young Faculty Scholar Award in 2005, the John Mary Willis Young Faculty Award in 2008, and was named a Krannert Faculty Fellow in 2008. He was also recognized as a Selected University Faculty Scholar from 2014 to 2019 at Purdue University. Dr. Li is a member of several professional organizations, including the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Mathematical Optimization Society (MOS), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
