Biography

Yansheng Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine, with secondary appointments in the Department of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science. His research interests include quantitative proteomics, cancer biology, and the complexities of protein turnover and post-translational modifications. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011 and completed his postdoctoral training at ETH Zurich. Since joining Yale's faculty in December 2017, he has focused on analyzing protein turnover and the effects of post-translational modifications on cellular signaling pathways and human diseases. His lab is also at the forefront of developing data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry techniques. Liu has received various prestigious awards, including the ASMS Research Award and the HUPO Early Career Researcher Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the field.
