Dr. Yansheng Liu

Biography

Yansheng Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine, and a secondary faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science. He leads a research group focusing on quantitative proteomics, with an emphasis on understanding the complexities of cancer biology and exploring the dynamics of protein moderation. Liu completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011 and underwent postdoctoral training at ETH Zurich. He joined Yale's faculty in December 2017, where his research has centered on analyzing protein turnover and post-translational modifications to unravel the complexities of cancer and cellular signaling pathways. His lab specializes in advancing multiplexed data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry and has made significant contributions to the understanding of protein dynamics in various diseases. Liu has received multiple prestigious awards, including the ASMS Research Award and the HUPO Early Career Researcher Award. His work has extensively focused on proteostasis, protein turnover, and the impact of chromosomal aneuploidy on human diseases, making significant advancements in the field of proteomics and mass spectrometry.
