Biography

Yao-Hong Liu is a Guest Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology and currently serves as the Scientific Director at imec. His research is focused on bioelectronics, specifically in the areas of low-power analog, RF, and mixed-signal design, as well as implantable brain-computer interfaces and neuromorphic electronics. He received his Ph.D. from National Taiwan University in 2009 and has held roles at Terax and Telecom (now Intel) in Taiwan from 2002 to 2010, where he developed wireless transceiver integrated circuits. In 2010, he joined imec in the Netherlands, where he leads research in ultra-low power ASIC design. Liu has received numerous accolades including the IEEE Brain Solid-State Circuits joint-society paper award honorable mention in 2022. He is also involved in various committees such as the technical program committee for the IEEE ISSCC and the steering committee for the IEEE RFIC symposium. Liu has published multiple significant works addressing innovative techniques in healthcare technologies and integrated circuit design.
