Biography

Yasmil Raymond is an Associate Curator at The Museum of Modern Art in the Department of Painting and Sculpture, where she has been since July 2015. Her work has included the organization of significant exhibitions such as 'Unfinished Conversation: New Work from Collection' in 2017 and 'Collection: 1960–1969' in 2016. Prior to her role at MoMA, she was a curator at the Dia Art Foundation, where she organized exhibitions featuring notable artists including Allora & Calzadilla, Carl Andre, and Yvonne Rainer. She has also contributed to major exhibitions at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, collaborating on shows that won national recognition. Additionally, she was a part of the Education Department at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Yasmil holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College.
