Biography

Yehonatan Givati is a Visiting Professor at Yale Law School and holds the Sylvan M. Cohen Professorship at Hebrew University Law School. He is the founding director of the Aumann-Fischer Center for Law, Economics, and Public Policy. Givati's research focuses on the economic analysis of law, utilizing economic tools to explore various areas such as tax law, law enforcement, private law, and judicial behavior. Prior to his academic career, he clerked for Justice Esther Hayut at the Supreme Court of Israel. Givati earned his LL.B. and M.A. in Economics from Hebrew University, and holds an LL.M., S.J.D., and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
