Biography

Yen Jun Wong is a registered pharmacist and lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. His research work focuses on health systems research, evidence synthesis, pharmacy practice, primary care services, infectious diseases, women's health, and mental health. Currently, he centers his efforts on the public health impact of tuberculosis, Parkinson's Disease, and healthcare systems. Yen Jun obtained his PhD in Pharmacy Practice from Monash University Malaysia and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Monash University, Australia. He has served as a provisionally registered pharmacist at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban and as a fully registered pharmacist at Klinik Kesihatan Kuala Pilah. Yen Jun has collaborated extensively with organizations like the Malaysian Pharmacists Society and is an advocate for women's public health issues. He is a Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative alumna and was awarded a grant to run a nutrition awareness program for young women in underprivileged communities across Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar, and Singapore. His expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in pharmacist practice and public health.
