Dr. Yetunde Asiedu

Biography

Yetunde Asiedu, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in General Internal Medicine. She joined the faculty in August 2020 after serving as Chief Medical Resident at Brown Alpert Medical School. Dr. Asiedu completed her residency at Brown and earned her MD from the University of Connecticut, where she also received her Bachelor's degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. Her clinical interests focus on women's health, family planning, and contraceptive management. Initially aspiring to be a psychiatrist, she decided to pursue a career in primary care to provide holistic and long-term care for her patients. Dr. Asiedu values the relationships she builds with her patients and finds fulfillment in being able to support them through good and challenging times. She is also dedicated to serving as an advocate for her patients and training medical students and residents.
