Biography

Yevhenii Biliaiev is a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on the effects of microscopic and macroscopic disorder on metal-insulator transitions and conductivity in thin gold films. He has explored topics such as the influence of structural phase inhomogeneities on electron localization during insulator-metal and metal-superconductor transitions, as well as the magneto-electric properties of CrO2 powder nanocomposites. Biliaiev’s work also delves into the electrical properties of ultrathin quench-condensed Au films, especially concerning edge metal-insulator transitions. With a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the B. Verkin Institute of Low Temperature Physics and Engineering at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, he has garnered recognition for his contributions to the field. Biliaiev actively collaborates on research involving the transport properties of conducting superconducting systems and participates in various academic initiatives to disseminate knowledge in solid state physics.
