Dr. Yiheng Feng

Biography

Yiheng Feng is an Assistant Professor in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 2015, and has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and Zhejiang University, respectively. His research interests primarily focus on transportation infrastructure systems, with a particular emphasis on developing innovative modeling techniques and control strategies for connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). He has participated in various studies aimed at optimizing traffic control systems and enhancing the safety and efficiency of smart transportation infrastructure. His selected publications demonstrate his active engagement in research concerning CAV trajectory planning, the cybersecurity of transportation infrastructure, and adaptive signal control mechanisms. Feng's contributions to the field have significantly advanced the understanding of the interactions between smart transportation systems and emerging technologies. He also serves as the Assistant Director of the Center Road Safety (CRS) at Purdue University, where he works on advancing research initiatives that aim to improve road safety outcomes through innovative solutions.
