Biography

Yimeng Niu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at TiSEM, Tilburg University. Prior to joining TiSEM, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He earned his Ph.D. in Management Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2023 and holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Tianjin University and a B.Sc. in Economics from Nankai University. His research focuses on key areas such as global supply chain restructuring, manufacturing operations, and artificial intelligence. He employs empirical data-driven methods to investigate the transformative impacts of new business models, geopolitical issues, labor dynamics, and technology on company operations and global supply chains. His research is funded by TKI DINALOG 2025 with a project on STRiDE.
