Dr. Yimin Luo

Biography

Yimin Luo is a Professor at Yale Engineering specializing in mechanical engineering. Her research focuses on a range of interdisciplinary areas including image analysis reconstruction, high-throughput experiment design, cell-material interactions, and biophysics. She has been recognized for her contributions to the field through various accolades such as the Woman Interactive Materials Award Finalist by the Leibniz Institute Interactive Materials. Her work also addresses challenges in rheology, phase behaviors, and active colloids, contributing significantly to the understanding of liquid crystals and liquid crystal elastomers. Her research has been published in leading journals with influential studies investigating the mechanics of suspensions and the dynamics of complex fluids.
