Biography

Ying-Ying Hsieh is an Assistant Professor in Innovation Entrepreneurship at Imperial College Business School. She also serves as the Associate Centre Director of the Center for Cryptocurrency Research at Imperial College London. Before joining Imperial, she completed her Ph.D. in General Management at Ivey Business School, Canada. Ying-Ying has experience as a Research Fellow at the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab at Ivey. Her research focuses on organization theory and strategy, particularly looking at coordination and governance mechanisms within blockchain-based decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). On a broader scale, her work investigates how technological innovation fosters novel organizational forms, primarily within the cryptocurrency and financial technology (FinTech) industries. Recent studies have delved into the adoption and diffusion of changes regarding DAOs. Additionally, she teaches Innovation Management and has developed new courses surrounding Management and Strategy in Innovation FinTech.
