Biography

Ying Dou completed her PhD at the University of New South Wales and has been with Monash University since July 2017, initially joining as a Lecturer. Her research focuses on empirical corporate finance, particularly on boards of directors and managerial incentives. Dou's work has been presented at conferences such as the European Finance Association and the Financial Intermediation Research Society. Notably, her research has appeared in the Financial Harvard Law School Forum and she received a Paper Award for Corporate Finance at the 2018 Financial Markets and Corporate Governance conference. Her published works include contributions to the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Financial Management.
