Dr. Ying Li

Biography

Ying Li is an Associate Professor in Health Statistics at the University of Gothenburg, where she teaches various medical statistics courses and acts as the course leader for mandatory courses aimed at doctoral students in the Sahlgrenska Academy. She has extensive expertise in collaborating with medical researchers, using advanced statistical models to address complex research questions. Her primary research interests include prediction models, causal inference, and register studies, particularly focusing on health outcomes related to various treatments. She is actively involved in multiple research groups, including the Scandinavian Surgical Outcomes Research Group and the Ronneby PFAS Research Program. Her work includes significant contributions to studies on the efficacy and safety of medical interventions in surgical contexts and the long-term effects of environmental toxins on health metrics like cardiovascular risk and quality of life in cancer survivors.
