Dr. Yingjun Cui

Biography

Yingjun Cui is an Associate Research Scientist in the field of Infectious Diseases at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on vector biology and vector-borne diseases including Lyme disease, Zika virus, Chikungunya fever, and malaria. He aims to understand vector-pathogen-host interactions through various scientific methods including entomology, molecular biology, and microbiology, as well as adopting omics techniques. His work is dedicated to developing anti-vector strategies that control emerging and reemerging vector-borne diseases. Cui's academic journey includes a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Zhejiang University, and he has completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Missouri and the University of Kentucky. He is actively involved in research collaborations and has published extensively in the field, contributing to the body of knowledge on infectious diseases and vector interactions.
