Biography

Yinglong Chen is a valued member of the University of Western Australia (UWA), having held the position of Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow since 2006. He completed his Ph.D. at Murdoch University and has served as an Assistant Professor at the Research Institute of Tropical Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, in Guangzhou. Yinglong is a pioneer in the phenotyping of root system architecture, driving innovations that enhance agricultural productivity and support global food security, particularly in the context of climate change. His work has attracted substantial media coverage and has significantly impacted both academic and agricultural communities.
