Dr. Yinuo Yao

Biography

Yinuo "Noah" Yao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is also an affiliated faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering department. Noah obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2021, where he focused on Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also holds multiple degrees from Stanford, including a Master's degree in Computational Mathematical Engineering and another Master's in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both completed in 2021 and 2017 respectively. His undergraduate education was completed at the National University of Singapore, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in 2015. With a research focus that includes areas such as computational fluid dynamics, numerical methods, wastewater treatment, and energy storage, Noah has made significant contributions to the field of environmental biotechnology and related disciplines. His Lab's work emphasizes innovative techniques in desalination and microfluidics, and he is actively engaged in exploring porous medium flow.
