Biography

Yixin Iris Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Illinois. She earned her Ph.D. in Technology Operations from the University of Michigan in 2018, following an M.A. in Applied Economics in 2014 and a B.S. in Statistics from Fudan University in 2012. Since joining the University of Illinois, she has focused her research on various aspects of operations management, particularly in the areas of discretionary pricing and manufacturing regulatory barriers. Her work has been published in leading journals, including Management Science and Production Operations Management. In addition, Wang has received multiple honors for her contributions to the field, such as the Distinguished Service Award for her reviews in Management Science over several years and recognition as a finalist for prestigious paper awards. She actively teaches Structural Estimation Methods and covers classical literature as well as current topics in Operations Management. Wang continues to contribute valuable insights to her field through her ongoing research activities and collaborations.
