Biography

Yiying Xiong is an associate professor in the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University, having joined the faculty in 2018. She earned her degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University, accredited by CACREP. Dr. Xiong is passionate about promoting mental health among clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her research interests focus on counseling minority clients, particularly international students and immigrants, as well as counselor education and mindfulness practice. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences and has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Dr. Xiong serves as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals and conferences and is a National Certified Counselor. She also acts as the faculty advisor for the Lambda chapter of Chi Sigma Iota.
