Biography

Yong S.K. Moon, PharmD, joined the University of the Pacific in 1998 after completing his pharmacy practice residency at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System in 1997. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, earned from the University of California, Irvine in 1992, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California completed in 1996. Dr. Moon is an advocate of a student-centered learning philosophy, emphasizing active learning and the importance of student responsibility in the educational process. He focuses on creating a supportive environment and serves as a guide and mentor to his students. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Moon is committed to the evolution of practice in pharmacy education and continuously seeks to enhance the learning experience for his students.
