Biography

Yoshio Nozawa is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Toronto Scarborough and the Rotman School of Management, where he also serves as the Associate Director and Research Lead Data Scientist for FinHub. He specializes in asset pricing with a particular focus on fixed income credit risk. His research has been published in leading academic and practitioner journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and worked as a senior economist in the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago, an MBA from the same institution, and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Tokyo.
