Biography

Youngdeok Lim is an Associate Professor at the School of Accounting, UNSW Sydney Business School, having joined in 2009. He specializes in teaching financial accounting in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including an MBA program at KAIST Business School in South Korea. He has served as a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School in New York during a sabbatical leave in 2012. His research interests comprise conflicts of interest among financial analysts, tax avoidance strategies, shareholder activism, mandatory audit firm rotation policies, and supply chain risk management. Lim has published extensively in leading academic journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, the British Accounting Review, and the Journal of Business, Finance & Accounting. He also serves as a co-editor for the eJournal of Tax Research and as an associate editor for the Managerial Auditing Journal. Lim is actively involved in academic assessment as an ARC assessor and ad hoc referee for various prestigious journals and conferences.
