Biography

Youngho Kim received his Doctor of Engineering from Yonsei University in 2010. After completing his PhD studies, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Construction Engineering Research Institute in Korea for one year. He joined the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems in December 2011 and has since been involved with the Oceans Graduate School as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer. His research focuses on pile foundation design for both onshore and offshore applications, offshore foundation systems including anchoring systems and jack-up structures, soil-substructure interactions, and advanced finite element modeling encompassing both static and dynamic scenarios. Youngho is an integral part of collaborations between the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems and major Korean engineering firms and research institutions, participating in various ARC projects alongside Korean partners. He has published over 80 refereed journal and conference papers in his field of expertise.
