Biography

Youngjin Yoo is a widely recognized leading intellectual voice in digital innovation. Before joining the London School of Economics and Political Science, he held the Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professorship in Entrepreneurship and served as Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Design & Innovation at Case Western Reserve University. He has been a visiting professor at institutions such as LUISS Business School in Italy, ESSEC in France, Ludwig-Maximilians University in Germany, Hitotsubashi University in Japan, Aalto University in Finland, and the City University of Hong Kong. Yoo was also a visiting research fellow at NASA. He has published over 170 peer-reviewed scholarly articles, which have been cited more than 31,000 times, giving him an H-index of 61. He has received $10 million in research grants from public and private sources, including the National Science Foundation and Samsung Electronics. Yoo has served as a senior editor for Information Systems Research and has worked on interdisciplinary initiatives, including establishing xLab at Case Western Reserve University and leading a research program at the Samsung Economic Research Institute. Additionally, he has collaborated with LG Academy on digital strategy and leadership development programmes.
