Biography

Youngjin Yoo is a widely recognized leading intellectual voice in digital innovation. Before joining the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as a Professor of Information Systems Innovation in the Department of Management, he held the Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professorship in Entrepreneurship and served as a Professor in the Information Systems Department at the Case Western Reserve University. He has been a visiting professor at LUISS Business School in Italy, ESSEC in France, Ludwig-Maximilians University in Germany, Hitotsubashi University in Japan, Aalto University in Finland, and City University of Hong Kong, as well as a visiting research fellow at NASA. Yoo has published over 170 peer-reviewed scholarly articles, which have been cited more than 31,000 times, and he maintains an H-index of 61. He has received approximately $10 million in research grants from various public and private sources including the National Science Foundation and Samsung Electronics. He is a senior editor for Information Systems Research, and his work has appeared in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly and Academy of Management Journal. Yoo has significantly contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives, including establishing xLab at Case Western Reserve University and overseeing digital transformation efforts as an Innovation Architect at University Hospitals Cleveland.
