Biography

Youngjoo E. Kim received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA in 2004. He completed a general practitioner residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY, and then pursued a pediatric dentistry residency at New York University in 2005. After his residency, he served as a pediatric dentist in the Bay Area for several years. In 2011, Dr. Kim joined the faculty of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. His research interests include dental education, laser dentistry, and pulp therapy for primary teeth.
