Yu-Chien Wu joined Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and became a tenured Associate Professor in 2019, with his promotion to full Professor occurring in 2024. He earned his MD degree and medical license in Taiwan before earning his PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006. With training as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physicist, Dr. Wu's research focuses on understanding diffusion physics in biological systems using diffusion MRI techniques. He began working on diffusion MRI during his graduate education and has continued to advance the field independently while at Dartmouth College from 2009 to 2013, and subsequently at IUSM.
