Dr. Yu Tong

Biography

Yu Tong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022. He is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology, with a focus on quantum computing. His research interests include Quantum Simulation, Machine Learning in Quantum Systems, and Hamiltonian Learning. Yu has authored and co-authored numerous publications in reputed journals, contributing to advancements in quantum computing and understanding many-body processes. Notable works include investigations into Heisenberg-limited scaling and stochastic error cancellation in quantum simulations. He is also actively involved in teaching advanced courses related to mathematics and electrical engineering.
