Biography

Yuchen Chen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his PhD in Finance from the University of Minnesota in 2023, where he also earned a Master's degree in Statistics in 2016. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, obtained in 2014. His teaching interests primarily focus on Investment and Portfolio Management. Chen's research interests encompass Macro-Finance, Structural Corporate Finance, Labor Finance, and Monetary Policy. In his recent roles, he has served as an instructor and has participated in various academic conferences as a discussant and organizer, demonstrating his active engagement in the finance community.
