Biography

Yudhi Ariadi is a Teaching Fellow in Engineering Design at the University of Warwick. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. After completing his degree, he joined ISUZU Astra Motor Indonesia as a product planner and product engineer, focusing on the development of passenger and commercial vehicles. He advanced his career in automotive tool manufacturing as the Tool Design Section Head at FUJI Technica Indonesia for six years, collaborating with international brands such as Toyota, Nissan, and Ford. He has also spent a year in Japan, developing skills in automotive tool design manufacturing. Yudhi participated in research at Lancaster University, where he focused on additive manufacturing and completed an MSc in Engineering Research in 2009. He returned to Indonesia to teach at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta and earned a fully-funded PhD studentship at Loughborough University, completing his studies in July 2016. His doctoral research focused on developing CAD tools for the general public. Previously, he has worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and taught various engineering subjects at Coventry University.
