Dr. Yue Wang

Biography

Yue Wang received a PhD in Management (International Business) from the University of Melbourne and is currently an Associate Professor of International Business at the Department of Management, Macquarie University, Australia. His career includes a senior lectureship at the School of Management at the University of New South Wales and various visiting positions at institutions such as Kyoto University, Nagoya City University, Doshisha University in Japan, Shanghai Jiaotong University in China, and Korean University Business School. His research interests encompass International Business, entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and Human Resource Management (HRM). He has published in leading journals and received multiple paper awards, including the AOM Paper Award twice in 2020 and 2023 and the Paper Award at the prestigious China Goes Global Conference at Harvard University in 2010. Dr. Wang is also active in editorial work and serves as a reviewer for several reputable journals. He is particularly interested in understanding how institutions shape firm behavior and the characteristics that influence managerial decisions, especially within the context of China, Japan, and Korea. Dr. Wang is passionate about teaching International Business and has been recognized as one of the top lecturers at UNSW. He has contributed to significant academic works and continues to guide PhD students in interdisciplinary research.
