Biography

Yueling Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Organization at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She earned her PhD from Nova School of Business and Economics in Portugal in 2024. With a background in working for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company and a non-profit organization, Yueling has a deep understanding of the intersections between business and social entrepreneurship, particularly bridging young entrepreneurs across Asia and Europe. Her research interests primarily focus on international mergers and acquisitions (M&As), strategic alliances, interrelationships, and international market selection. In addition to her research, she specializes in teaching International Business and Strategic Management. Her work has been published in respected journals such as Long Range Planning, and she is actively involved in ongoing projects aimed at expanding the understanding of dynamic market interactions. Yueling is a member of the European Mergers Acquisitions Institute (eM&Ai), the European Academy of Management (EURAM), and the Academy of International Business (AIB).
