Biography

Yuepeng Dong is currently an Associate Professor at DTU Sustain, specializing in Computational Geotechnics. He obtained his DPhil in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford in August 2014, where his thesis focused on finite element analysis of soils and structures under the supervision of Professor David M. Potts. Before joining DTU, he worked as a Senior/Postdoctoral Associate at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology and served as a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. His expertise lies in geotechnical engineering, particularly in computational geotechnics, advanced finite element analysis, and constitutive modeling of geomaterials. He teaches fundamental geotechnical engineering courses to BSc and BEng students, incorporating methodologies from both Danish and international practices. His current research includes resilient sustainable infrastructure, geological and geotechnical sensing, and modeling, as well as energy geotechnics aimed at supporting the green energy transition. He is open to collaborations and consultancies, encouraging interested parties to reach out for potential opportunities.
