Biography

Yuhao Kang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of Texas at Austin, where he directs the GISense Lab. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has a bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University. He has held postdoctoral positions, including at the MIT SENSEable City Lab. He serves on editorial boards and reviews for multiple academic journals, fostering collaboration within the academic community while teaching GIS courses that equip students with essential skills for analyzing spatial data.
