Biography

Yuk Ka Chung is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Manchester, where he has been since March 2024. Previously, he served as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at the same university from February 2022 to February 2024. He has extensive experience in teaching and research, having lectured at the University of Hong Kong in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science from July 2013 to January 2022. He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Hong Kong (2011) and an MPhil in Statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1993), as well as a BSc in Statistics from the same institution (1991). His research interests include Forensic Statistics, Bioinformatics, and Protein Modelling, highlighting his engagement with modern statistical applications in these fields. Yuk Ka Chung has also taught various courses including Multivariate Statistics and Survival Analysis, demonstrating his diverse expertise within the domain of statistics and actuarial science.
