Biography

Yuk Ka Chung is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics and Probability at the University of Manchester. He joined the university in March 2024, after serving as a Teaching Fellow in the same department. Previously, he was a lecturer at the University of Hong Kong in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science from July 2013 to January 2022. Yuk earned his PhD in Statistics from the University of Hong Kong between 2006 and 2011, where he was supervised by Professor Wing-Kam Fung. He also holds an MPhil and a BSc in Statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Yuk’s research interests include forensic statistics, bioinformatics, and protein modeling. He has a commitment to fostering learning through his teaching of various courses in statistics and actuarial science.
