Yun Liu received a PhD degree from Xian Jiaotong University in 1997. He specializes in fundamental research involving local crystal structure analysis of solid-state functional materials using various diffraction techniques and chemical bonding analysis. Liu has published extensively, contributing to advancing knowledge in photocatalysis, photovoltaics, and nanomaterials.
