Biography

Yunchuan (Frank) Liu is an Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Illinois. He earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Columbia University in 2003. He has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Riverside, and at the University of Illinois since 2006. His research interests encompass various aspects of marketing, including Marketing Platforms, Marketing Algorithms, Influencer Marketing, Distribution Channels, Supply Chain Management, Consumer Finance, and Advertising. He is recognized for his contributions to the field and has been honored as an Excellent Teacher at the University of Illinois multiple times. Liu has been actively involved in academic services, serving as an Associate Editor for Decision Sciences and the Asian Journal of Business Research. He is the co-founder and co-president of the Chinese Scholar Marketing Association. Liu's recent research includes studies on consumer fairness concerns and the impact of technology on channel management, as well as platform manipulation in online retail marketplaces.
