Biography

Yuntian (Lynne) Li is an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University in the Faculty of Management. Her research encompasses various topics within the accounting field, with a particular focus on gender issues in business, corporate voluntary disclosure, auditing regulations, and corporate social responsibility. Li completed her PhD at HEC Montreal, and has also obtained a MSc from Syracuse University and a BBA from Southwest Jiaotong University. She has been involved in several noteworthy research studies, including examining the quality consequences of earnings forecasts by female CEOs. In addition to her research contributions, she has received multiple accolades such as the J.A. DeSève Merit Scholarship from HEC Montreal in 2021. Li is also an active member of the academic community, having served as a reviewer for the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada Annual Conference. She teaches courses such as COMM 3116 - Cost Management and is dedicated to enhancing the academic experience for her students at Dalhousie University.
