Biography

Yunus Zeytuncu earned his PhD in Mathematics from Ohio State University in 2010. He joined the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2013 after serving as a visiting assistant professor at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on complex variables, operator theory, and complex geometry. In addition to his regular teaching and research duties, he coordinates the NSF REU Site Mathematical Analysis Applications and directs the Center for Mathematics Education at the University. In recognition of his teaching excellence, he received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the Michigan Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) in 2019 and was selected as the Michigan Professor of the Year by the Michigan Association of State Universities in 2021.
